📏 Understanding Lines

What is a Line? A line is a straight path that extends infinitely in both directions. Lines are one of the most fundamental concepts in geometry!

Why Learn About Lines? Lines are everywhere around us - in buildings, roads, bridges, art, and nature. Understanding how lines relate to each other helps us design, build, and solve real-world problems.

║ Parallel Lines
Definition: Lines that never meet, no matter how far they extend
Example: Railway tracks, ruled notebook lines
💡 Hint: Click and drag to draw two horizontal or vertical lines that stay the same distance apart!
⊥ Perpendicular Lines
90°
Definition: Lines that meet at a 90° right angle
Example: Corners of windows, letter "T"
💡 Hint: Click and drag to draw one line, then click and drag again to draw another line that forms a perfect "L" shape!
✕ Intersecting Lines
Definition: Lines that cross each other at any angle (not 90°)
Example: Crossed scissors, letter "X"
💡 Hint: Click and drag diagonally to draw one line, then draw another at a different angle to make them cross - but not at 90°!
↗ Transversal Line
Cuts!
Definition: A line that cuts across two or more parallel lines
Example: A road crossing railway tracks
💡 Hint: Two parallel lines will be already drawn. Click and drag diagonally across both lines to cut through them!
